      Anode plays an essential role in the aluminum production process. Anode is used in the reduction reaction of aluminum while transmitting electric current. Anode quality has a great influence on the quality of aluminum produced and its process. In fact, a good quality anode in regeneration cells facilitates the production process and guarantees the product.

      Anodizing unit consists of three main parts as follows:

      1. Raw anode production unit:
      Raw anode raw materials include: calcined petroleum coke (CPC), coal tar pitch, as well as the remaining spent anodes from the reduction unit (BATS). Raw anode unit includes: granulation process of solid particles, mixing of solid particles and liquid bitumen (to form paste) and molding. During the mentioned process, the raw anode block is produced.

      2. Baking workshop:
      In the baking unit, the raw anode blocks are heated indirectly by placing them in the oven for a certain period of time to obtain the right conditions for use in the regeneration cell.
